Viewbank

Sitting just 15 Kilometers out of Melbourne’s CBD, Viewbank is a sizeable residential suburb ideally located for professionals and families, due to its central location. Viewbank was named after a farming property (since demolished) built at the junction of the Yarra and Plenty River during the 1840s. Remnants of Viewbank’s farming part can be seen from the historic silos still standing on Banyule Road.

Defined by Lower Plenty Road, Viewbank is a hidden paradise with Banyule Flats one of Melbourne’s largest intact wetlands in the centre it creates for a serene, lush surrounds. With numerous walking and bike tracks throughout the area, it’s the perfect place to relax and unwind after work, all within minutes of local restaurants and shops. Viewbank is serviced by regular bus transport, which stops at Rosanna Station. Viewbank’s central location makes is only 20 minutes from the City, 10 minutes from Northland and Greensborough plaza and 5 minutes from Heidelberg and Rosanna shops and Restaurants.

Viewbank’s public schools are Viewbank Primary School and very much in demand Viewbank College. Both reputable school with fantastic results and communities which is a real draw card for the area.
